Easter cakes to order: Ukrainian Paska and caramel biscuit gifts

Paska brings a traditional Ukrainian Easter bread to the table. Here is what to expect before ordering.

Jump to section

Our Easter Paska is a traditional Ukrainian sweet bread made with a rich, buttery dough. It is soft and gently sweet, with fruit options described on the product page. Although it appears in our cake collection, its bread texture is different from Medovik or a cream-filled celebration cake.

What to expect from Paska

Paska is a good choice when you want something to slice and share at the Easter table, perhaps with tea or coffee. Our current product describes mixed peel and fruity pieces, with a raisin option. Check the available size and fruit choice when ordering, especially if someone in the family dislikes dried fruit.

The traditional shape is tall, so a photograph of the top does not tell you the portion size. Tell us how many people you want to serve and whether Paska will be part of a larger meal or the main sweet treat.

Paska or a layered dessert cake?

Choose Paska for sweet bread and an Easter tradition. If you want a creamy dessert, consider Medovik honey cake with its five honey sponge layers and cream, or browse our whole cake collection.

The two can have different roles on the table: bread to share during the gathering and a dessert cake to cut after the meal. If you order both, explain the menu and guest count so the quantities make sense together.

A smaller Easter gift

Gorishky caramel biscuits are nut-shaped biscuits filled with caramel. They offer a smaller gift format for someone who enjoys biscuits with a hot drink, with a gift note available.

The shape is not an allergen statement. Check the product’s ingredients and our allergen information before sending food. Our kitchen handles allergens and cannot guarantee products free from cross-contact.

Confirm which Easter date you need

Families may celebrate Easter on different dates. Give us the exact date of your gathering when asking about availability instead of writing only “for Easter”. Seasonal stock, designs and ordering deadlines should be confirmed for that year.

For local collection or whole cake delivery, agree the handover with us. For a suitable postal gift, check the preparation time and expected arrival window before buying. Standard postal estimates are not guarantees; the current policy is on our delivery page.

If you need help choosing between Paska, biscuits and a dessert cake, contact us with your date, guest count and delivery postcode.

These are the sorts of things Olga ends up explaining in messages before she confirms an order: what travels well, what complicates delivery, and what is better kept local.

Better for local delivery or collection

Start with Easter Cake (Paska)

Easter Cake (Paska) is the kind of cake Olga suggests when the order needs a proper celebration finish, local delivery, or collection rather than parcel-post packing.

Questions people ask before ordering

The practical details that matter first

These are the bits customers usually want answered before they commit: freshness, delivery timing, and whether a postal cake is the right fit at all.

Is Paska a cake or a bread?

Paska is a traditional Ukrainian Easter sweet bread. Our version uses a rich, buttery dough and has a bread texture rather than layers of sponge and cream.

Does your Paska contain dried fruit?

The current product describes mixed peel and fruity pieces, with a raisin option. Check the available choices with us before ordering if you have a preference or dietary requirement.

When should we order Easter gifts?

Enquire early with the exact date you need. We confirm seasonal availability, preparation and delivery arrangements for that year rather than applying an old ordering deadline.

More notes if you are still weighing it up

Choose the format that suits the journey

If the parcel has to go across the UK mainland, start with the cakes by post range for standard-design honey cake, honey cake slices, or caramel biscuits vacuum-packed for post. If the order depends on height, chilled fillings, or a detailed design brief, browse the custom cakes range for the celebration options that are better suited to local delivery, collection, or UK delivery by agreement.
